My bartending stint at Syncopation Jazz NYC where I got to play with two titans of jazz piano - Rahn Burton (on drums) and Albert Dailey (on harmonica - All Blues) The music is a bootleg of The Louis Hayes Group who had a residency there every Sunday that Spring of '80. Also, two tracks at the end "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy" (me on drums '78 in SF) and Blue Bossa (me on guitar NYU Jazz Ensemble '82) This is the one to listen to for jazz fans. Also check out Chris "Witchcraft" Conner and Eddie "Canadian Sunset" "Begin the Beguine" Heywood for whom I also had the privilege of bartending for their exquisite music stylings. I was in school and also getting schooled by the best of the best. “Hey college kid now we’re going to grade you on your drumming. B+ Dynamics D- Technique… good news… you didn’t fail bad news you didn’t pass the audition. Get back behind the bar and woodshed!”
